COMPLEX INTERVENTIONS IN MENTAL HEALTH

Psychiatric care employs a variety of psychosocial interventions. The focus here is, for example, on health education, the promotion of mental health, including psychotherapeutic interventions and measures to support the recovery process of patients and their relatives. As in other areas of the health system, many of these interventions are complex. “Complex Interventions” are activities that contain a number of component parts with the potential for interactions between them, which, when applied to the target population, produce a range of possible and variable outcomes.
